You will find it is the best thing you have ever done for yourself!

God sent Jesus to be the way back to Himself by having Him die on the Cross at Calvary. (Matt 20:17-19, 28)

But on the third day, Jesus was raised to life again - (Matt 28:1-10, 16-20) so that all who believe in Him will also be raised to life again. (John 11:25, 26)

Jesus says this,
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; the only way to the Father is through Me." John 14:6

And this is our invitation from Jesus;

"Come to Me, all of you
who are tired
and have heavy loads,
and I will give you rest.
Accept My teachings
and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit,
and you will find rest
for your lives.
The teaching that I ask you to accept is easy; the load I give you to carry is light."
Matt 11:28-30

THE WORD

John Chapter 1, verses 1-4

1 In the beginning there was the Word.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 All things were made by Him, and nothing was made without Him.
4 In Him there was life, and that life was the light of all people.

Repentance, Forgiveness, & Baptism

Matt 3:1-2, 6
1In those days John the Baptist began preaching in the Judean wilderness. His message was,
2 "Turn from your sins and turn to God,
because the Kingdom of Heaven is near."
6 And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.
11 "I baptize with water those who turn from their sins and turn to God.
But someone is coming soon who is far greater than I am - so much greater that I am not even worthy to be His slave.
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."

Acts 2:38-41
38 Peter replied, "Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 This promise is to you and to your children, and even to the Gentiles -
all who have been called by the LORD our God."
40 Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, "Save yourselves from this generation that has gone astray!"
41 Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church - about three thousand in all.

John 6:14, 15
“If you forgive others their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins".

John 3:18
18 "There is no judgement awaiting those who trust Him.
But those who do not trust Him (Jesus) have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.

Luke 24: 47
47 With My authority, take this message of repentance to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem:
'There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to Me.'

1 Pe 2:24
Christ carried the burden of our sins.
He was nailed to the cross,
so that we would stop sinning and start living right.
By His cuts and bruises you are healed.

Rom 6:4
4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism.
And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father,
now we also may live new lives.

Gal 3:27-29
27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have been made like Him.
28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female.
For you are all Christians - you are one in Christ Jesus.
29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham.
You are his heirs, and now all the promises God gave to him belong to you.

1 Peter 3:21
20 God was waiting patiently for them while Noah was building the boat. Only a few people - eight in all - were saved by water.
21 And that water is like baptism that now saves you - not the washing of dirt from the body,
but the promise made to God from a good conscience.
