1995, 17 February
75TH ANNIVERSARY OF 1920 CHRISTCHURCH-ASHBURTON FLIGHTSpecial covers depicting the original pilot Euan Dickson received an inkjet slogan postmark at Christchurch reading "The 75th anniversary of first Ch'Ch/Ashburton airmail flight". These (and other covers too) were flown by NZ Post's Airpost Piper Chieftain from Christchurch to Ashburton. Copies of the Star were also carried. All covers were backstamped at Ashburton 17FE95 5pm.
1997, 29 March
WARBIRDS FLY IN TO OMAKA AERODROME, BLENHEIMSpecial covers were flown on a Harvard piloted by Peter Houghton who signed them. These covers were prepared by the so-called Riviera Principality of Blenheim and bear one of their 80c cinderella labels and also an RNZAF $1.25 cinderella label, both tied with a Principality of Riviera Post Office large cancel dated 29 Mar 1997. There are no ordinary postage stamps or markings.
1997, 7 May
ASHBURTON-TIMARU PIGEON FLIGHTAt 10.30am on the 7 May 20 pigeons from Timaru left from Baring Square, Ashburton. Most arrived at Timaru by noon. Some pigeons from Ashburton also flew to Ashburton in the afternoon from Timaru. The pigeons carried small flimsies bearing an 80c blue triangular postage stamp issued that day by NZ Post and cancelled with an Ashburton circular datestamp.
1997, 11 May
AUPEX 97 PIGEON POST CENTENARYTo mark their 75th anniversary the Auckland Philatelic Society organised a National Stamp Exhibition AUPEX 97 held 12-16 November. To raise funds they printed 500 miniature sheets, each with 4 different cinderella labels (face value $1.25 each) depicting the original pigeon post stamps. 430 pigeons carried 2000 flimsies, each bearing one of the labels, from Great Barrier Island to Auckland. The flimsies were cancelled with an oval marking PIGEON POST CLARIS GREAT BARRIER ISLAND and enclosed in an outer cover. A Warbirds DC3 aircraft which carried the pigeons to Great Barrier Island also flew special flight covers to Claris and more covers back to Auckland. The covers were datestamped at both places.
1997, 13 November
AUPEX 97 OPENING DAYOn 13 November NZ Post issued a miniature sheet to commemorate this stamp exhibition, containing two each of the 40c red and 80c blue triangular pigeongram centenary stamps that had been issued on 7 May. The Auckland Philatelic Society issued opening day covers (not flown) with these stamps affixed.
10TH ANNIVERSARY WARBIRDS OVER WANAKA AIRSHOW & 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF FIRST TRANS-TASMAN FLIGHTFort Augustus Marketing of Christchurch produced three different sheets of "souvenir stamps" with a face value of 50c. One shows Sir Tim Wallis, another shows the badge of the Alpine Fighter Collection, and the third shows the Southern Cross plane. One each of these labels was affixed to a souvenir cover and cancelled with two different undated cachets. These covers did not go through ordinary post and were sold at the Easter (10-12 April) air show at Wanaka.
1999, 17 November
RICHARD PEARSE STAMPNZ Post issued as part of the millennium series a set of six stamps, one of which was an 80c stamp depicting the Richard Pearse aircraft monument at Waitohi. The Pleasant Point Promotion Association prepared 300 special covers (not flown).
2000, 16 September
70 YEARS AIR MAIL SOCIETYWG Covers prepared commemorative envelopes for the society (not flown) which were datestamped at Christchurch and have two different blue cinderella labels affixed.

2000, 14 December
40TH ANNIVERSARY OF SPANZA round NZ flight was made by three DC3 aircraft and special covers prepared by the AMSNZ were backstamped at Christchurch 10DE00 and carried on the three planes by courier to Auckland where the 80c stamps were postmarked at Downtown Post Shop 14 Dec 2000.
2001, 14-15 April
CLASSIC FIGHTERS AIRSHOW, OMAKA AIRFIELD, BLENHEIMThis was the inaugural show, held at Easter every two years. Flight covers were specially prepared by the Air Mail Society of NZ and were flown at the airshow. In addition, many different covers (and one postcard) were prepared by Fort Augustus Marketing of Christchurch and these all bear a hologram logo and various $4 "stamps" of the Chatham Island Postal Service. These covers were flown to Blenheim from various places: Frankton, Mandeville, Wigram, and Nelson. Another two flown covers were 1987 RNZAF FDC's originally prepared by Hutson Covers of Hawkes Bay and these have a CIPS "stamp" and cachet added.
2004, 29 October
EMERGENCY EARTHQUAKE MAIL RE-ENACTMENT FLIGHTThe organizers of the national stamp exhibition Baypex 2004 held at Napier produced special covers (with insert card) and these were flown on 29 Oct in a DH60 Gypsy Moth from Bridge Pa aerodrome to Napier airport.They were datestamped with the special pictorial postmark in use at the exhibition (depicting a Gypsy Moth).
2005, 16 September
75TH ANNIVERSARY AIR MAIL SOCIETY OF NEW ZEALANDA commemorative postcard was printed and datestamped at Christchurch and a blue commemorative cinderella label affixed. They were not flown. One free card was given to each member of the AMSNZ.
OTAGO HELICOPTER FLIGHT TO VIEW ICEBERGSA Kawasaki helicopter piloted by John Gardiner flew about 100km in 96 minutes. Special souvenir cards were carried by a courier on the flight and datestamped in Christchurch on 28 Nov.
VINCENT AVIATION FLIGHT TO VIEW ICEBERGS FROM CHRISTCHURCHA Dash 8 was used for the two and a half hour flight. Special souvenir cards datestamped at Christchurch on 30 Nov were carried by a courier.
2007, 3 July
PYC STAMP CAMP BALLOON FLIGHTDuring the Youth Stamp Camp held at Kaiapoi a special balloon flight was made for two hours during the afternoon with a pilot and four passengers. A 50c personalized postage label depicting the balloon was issued on this date. All items are pilot signed and were datestamped at Darfield.
2008, 7 October
40TH ANNIVERSARY OF FIRST BOEING 737 COMMERCIAL FLIGHT CHRISTCHURCH-AUCKLANDA Personalized Postage Label depicting a B737 was printed by NZ Post for Shades Stamp Shop Ltd. These 50c labels were used on postcards, maximum cards, and first day covers that were flown from Christchurch to Auckland on Air NZ flight 0514 leaving 9.20am and arriving at 10.35am. Carried by courier on Boeing 737-300, ZK-NGO. Pilot signed items are worth more. All items were datestamped at Christchurch and also at Auckland.
2009, 2 February
TIMPEX RICHARD PEARSE MONUMENT FIRST DAYTo raise funds for the national stamp exhibition Timpex 2009, to be held in Timaru in October 2009. Canpex ordered Personalized Postage Labels from NZ Post depicting the Richard Pearse aircraft monument at Waitohi. These 50c postage labels were printed on both self-adhesive and normal gummed paper and a single affixed to maximum cards and also one of each type to two first day covers. All items were datestamped at Temuka. These are all non-flown souvenir items.
